Hengdian has officially unzipped the doors to its new Qi Luxury Tent Hotel, a fresh new vacation experience inviting visitors to leave behind the city for a moment to embrace a slower, more natural way of living. Nestled snugly at the base of a lush green valley, Qi treats guests to expansive mountain views and a taste of the wilderness, while located just a 10-minute drive outside of Hengdian town.

Spanning a total area of 2 hectares, Qi boasts 80 rooms of varying types, ranging from traditional double rooms to two-story family suites complete with slides. All the rooms appear as tents from the outside, but inside are beautifully decorated and equipped with modern amenities, achieving a perfect blend of natural wilderness and contemporary comfort.

“While at Qi, you can put down the burdens in your heart and thoroughly enjoy your free time,” said Qi Luxury Tent Hotel general manager David Chu. As part of the Hengdian Dream Spring Valley resort, Qi also offers its guests access to a soothing hotspring water park complete with 60 naturalspring pools and 15 steam rooms.

Built on the principle of minimal ecological disruption, Qi’s grounds are 90% covered in native greenery. The resort actively reduces water use and supports biodiversity through sustainable landscaping. A closed loop hot spring water circulation system reclaims thermal energy to slash extra power demand, while playgrounds use reduced power to deliver ecofriendly fun for families.

Inside each tent, graphene based underfloor heating provides rapid warmth with up to 30 percent less energy use. To further shrink its carbon footprint, Qi sources fresh produce from neighboring farms—minimizing transport emissions and bolstering the local economy.

An elevated walkway winds through the pet friendly hotel grounds, guiding guests to explore unique locations like viewpoints, playgrounds and even a giant wooden acorn big enough for multiple people to stand inside. Qi prides itself on its extensive menu of activities and the ability to deliver highly personalized experiences including barbeque pits, live music, movie screenings and more.

A sprawling 0.5 hectare lawn within the resort serves as a camping ground under the stars, and families can also retreat to a vast indoor play zone featuring a children’s castle and a 7,400 m² water park. Meanwhile, four-legged friends are given designated shower stations, play areas and convenient waste bins, ensuring every guest feels right at home.

Going forward, Qi aims to deepen its focus on family-friendly experiences as part of its “Nature+” strategy, with plans to launch parent-child workshops, nature-based educational programs, and childcare services to help parents to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The hotel will also collaborate with various interest groups to organize themed events—such as pet meetups, campinglifestyle gatherings and luxury wilderness music festivals—while embedding sustainability in every detail.

As the latest addition to Hengdian Group's hotel lineup, which also includes a Sheraton and Fairfield by Marriott in the pipeline, Qi further enriches the Group’s hospitality portfolio, reinforcing its position as a premier destination for every kind of traveler.
